Will has a passion for making great places for people to live in and to enjoy for generations. He joins the MIT MSRED program with a lifelong interest in real estate development fueled by five years of practical experience as a project manager.
Prior to the start of his career, Will attended Rhodes College in Memphis, TN and graduated with a BA in Commerce and Business. In addition to his academics, Will played on the Varsity Baseball team and served as captain in his senior year. Following graduation, Will returned to his hometown of Dallas, Texas and began working as a project manager for Arcadia Realty Corp.
When he joined the company, Arcadia Realty Corp was in the process of developing five New Urbanist neighborhoods in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, four of which were multiphase master plans. Will was assigned project management duties and spent his time at Arcadia Realty Corp developing New Urbanist residential mixed-use master-planned communities. As a project manager, Will’s responsibilities spanned every aspect of project management, from due diligence to zoning, engineering, contracts, financing, investor interface, project delivery, project accounting, and serving as the director of his projects’ homeowners’ associations.
Will looks forward to enhancing his current practical development experience with a rigorous and collaborative academic framework. Throughout his time at the MIT CRE, he is eager to merge his interests in New Urbanism development and reviving missing middle housing types in order to address housing affordability.
