Vinicios Sant’Anna is a Postdoctoral Associate at the MIT Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics Lab. Dr. Sant’Anna is an applied microeconomist interested in finance, real estate, housing, urban, and spatial economics. His research combines the use of large administrative data with cutting-edge empirical strategies to study the economic and social consequences of immigration, with a focus on housing markets, residential mobility, and segregation.
Dr. Sant’Anna is the current co-organizer of the MIT/CRE Research Seminar, teaches at the MSRED program, and serves as a Junior Editor at the Journal of Real Estate Practice and Education.
He holds a B.Sc. in Economics, an M.Sc. in Applied Economics from the University of Sao Paulo, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
