Steven is a qualified professional with a passion in transit-oriented developments. Steven enters MIT to pursue his passion through a MSRED to establish a stronger knowledge of property development to complement his deep background in infrastructure. Born and raised in Sydney Australia, Steven graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelors of Civil Engineering (First Class Honours) and from the University of Melbourne with a Masters of Construction Law (First Class Honours).
Steven’s career spans over eight years where he has held engineering, project management and commercial positions on multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects within Australia. One of his most notable projects is the Victoria Cross Integrated Station Development as part of Sydney Metro City & Southwest which includes a 42-storey commercial tower proposed above a new metro station in the heart of North Sydney’s CBD. Steven was the transaction manager that led the first competitively tendered integrated station development package in Australia.
Prior to joining MIT, Steven was a Senior Advisor at E3 Advisory where he was seconded to Transport for NSW as the project manager on the Central Precinct Renewal Program. He has also published a paper in the Australian Construction Law Newsletter (#175) titled “Key Elements of Hong Kong’s Rail Plus Property Model that should be considered in Australia.”
Steven joins MIT to advance his passion in transit-oriented developments with a view to pursuing future opportunities to work on large scale urban renewals projects centred around transit within North America.
