Ritu graduated from the prestigious NIT Tiruchirappalli in India and spent four years at FHD Consultants, recognized by Forbes as one of the top 30 architecture practices in India. At FHD, she was part of the lead design development team for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. She was also selected as a part of exclusive teams that worked on projects in collaboration with the world-renowned firms X-architects, Dubai and South African firm SAOTA respectively.

Driven by a desire to extend her impact beyond consultancy, she joined Organo Eco-Habitats, a trailblazer in India’s sustainable real estate segment. As a Product Architect at Organo, she bridged design, functionality, sustainability, and financial feasibility. This experience cemented her belief in her potential to contribute as a responsible and empathetic developer.

Her decision to pursue an MSRED degree at MIT is rooted in her desire to deepen her understanding of real estate practices and contribute to the forefront of sustainable development. She aims to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to transform from an architect into a sharp real estate developer.

Post-graduation, she plans to collaborate with like-minded companies to manifest projects that achieve sustainability certifications, reduce carbon footprints, and serve as examples of environmentally responsible real estate development. Her long-term goal is to ensure that well-designed, eco-friendly buildings are accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic background.

Beyond her professional endeavors, she finds solace in hiking, connecting with nature, and is deeply committed to animal welfare. 

Ritu is the recipient of the Sustainable Real Estate Development Action (SREDA) Fellowship for the 2024-2025 academic year.
