Reem joins MIT after ten years of experience as a Real Estate consultant. She spent the last seven years with EY, where she created the concept briefs for and financially assessed transformational large-scale developments in the GCC. The impact of these developments is estimated to reach 200,000+ new jobs, USD $50+ billion in Gross Value Added to economies, USD $1.3+ trillion in local and foreign investments, and 760+ square kilometers of naturally significant sites conserved.
Reem’s involvement in the GCC’s highly strategic and transformational developments was driven by her pursuit to understand the built ecosystem that frames our realities, a pursuit that has its roots in her experience living in London, Beirut, and Dubai.
Taking a MENA-wide lens, Reem has developed the programs and business plans for 400,000,000+ sqm of Real Estate across all asset classes. Embedded in her work is the economic, environmental, and social need to place longevity of all life at the heart of these developments.
In her own time, Reem has launched a series of philanthropic initiatives to create spaces focused on the provision of basic services and community enhancement in Lebanon.
At MIT, Reem is excited to expand her knowledge of Real Estate transformation through the program coursework and exposure to a world-class cohort. She is also keen to delve into the methods of optimizing the development lifecycle and engraining sustainability and technology into its template.
