Born and raised in Thailand, Ravisara (Pinn) is the second-generation leader at her family’s real estate development company. She led several new initiatives, such as the setup of Real Estate Investment Trust, the introduction of mixed-use development, and the integration of eco-friendly design. Her goal is to scale her family business in a way that not only maximizes only economic value but also preserve the local communities and promote sustainable growth.

Bangkok’s I’m Chinatown mixed use project proved that it was indeed possible. The development created additional jobs and living spaces for local residents, allowed small locally owned businesses to prosper, and preserved authentic Thai Chinese culture to its visitors. The development was recognized by Asia Pacific Property Awards as the best mixed-use development in Thailand. More importantly, she was able to revitalize the neighborhood without pushing out the people who lived there before, successfully integrating with the local ecosystem.

At MIT, she looks forward to taking “Real Estate Development Studio: Complex Urban Projects” to learn from the various mixed-use real estate development projects. “Mixed-Income Housing Development” to better understand the issues and requirements of developing such housing.

Pinn received a Bachelor of Science in Business majoring in Finance from Indiana University, Bloomington. She holds French Wine Scholar certificate and Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 2 Award in Wines.
