Julio has been working in the real estate industry since 2018, before he graduated from a BS in Civil Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana. During his undergraduate studies, he worked as a Financial Analyst in Mexico City with a local mixed-use development company and volunteered to build houses for low-income communities at TECHO, a Latin-American NGO.
Before coming to MIT, he was a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager at Casas Krea, a Mexican affordable housing development and construction company. Julio believes the industry depends on leaders with well-rounded academic and professional backgrounds to address the global housing crisis and uphold global environmental standards. He came to the M.S. in Real Estate Development to take the next step as a real estate professional and face the upcoming challenges for the industry with resilience and expertise.
